HMCTS court fee table revised for October 2026

HM Courts & Tribunals Service has updated the fee bands for money claims. The small claims track limit is also under review for a proposed increase.

HMCTS updated the civil court fee schedule in October 2026. The fees for money claims up to £10,000 are unchanged; claims between £10,000 and £200,000 see a 2% increase in the percentage-based fee. A separate Ministry of Justice consultation proposes raising the small claims track limit from £10,000 to £15,000 — a change that would allow more disputes to be handled without legal representation.
